IT Monitoring and Reporting Analyst / System Analyst

We are seeking an IT Monitoring and Reporting Analyst / System Analyst
 
Responsibilities
Operating in an environment with both physical and virtual servers, the IT Tools and Reporting Analyst will maintain real-time monitoring tools in order to assess system health and performance, and to identify performance anomalies.
The IT Tools and Reporting Analyst will maintain automated external alerting of critical events and incorporate event driven logic to proactively address system issues. The IT Tools and Reporting Analyst will also provide capacity and trending information of critical infrastructure to Operations Management.
Requirements:
  • Five (5) years’ work experience as a System Administrator. Experience should include solutions such as VMware, vSphere, Windows, Linux, and Solaris.
  • Scripting experience with Power Shell, Power CLI and Linux/Solaris Languages.
  • Maintain monitoring tools for assessing performance and identifying performance anomalies.
  • Provide proactive real-time monitoring of system health and status for both physical and virtual servers.
  • Provide real-time health and status for system services.
  • Maintain system automated external alerting of critical events and incorporate event driven logic to proactively address system issues.
  • Provide Monthly statistical analysis report of usage, system performance, reported issues, and overall system health.
  • Understand and be able to report the systems current configuration and capability status at all times.
  • Report generation that includes statistical analysis reports of usage, system performance, reported issues, and overall system health. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with maintaining or monitoring a virtualization/VDI environment is a great plus.
  • Experience with maintaining and supporting databases such as MSSQL, MYSQL a great plus.
  • Experience with maintaining and supporting Aptare a great plus.
  • Experience with maintaining and supporting Splunk a great plus.
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering or relative experience.
